Really fun book but I think it’s a bit short even if you choose a long path。 The reason this is 4 stars and not 3 is the fact that when you finish you can come back and reread the book but choose a different path。

First book of the series that I've come to enjoy very much。 I just think that smashing "choose your own story" genre and "mystery solving group of children" genres together are so neat。 Some of the choices were so obvious, of course。 But it still has fun logic puzzels, not to mention the series just get so much better as you read it。 First book of the series that I've come to enjoy very much。 I just think that smashing "choose your own story" genre and "mystery solving group of children" genres together are so neat。 Some of the choices were so obvious, of course。 But it still has fun logic puzzels, not to mention the series just get so much better as you read it。 。。。more

So, um, I guess I've read this book? Read with my daughter for her tween book club。 We loved being able to make choices through the story and solve the case。。。。or not。。。 depending on how it goes。 Well written for the 8 to 12 year olds。 Loved it。 😍

Este libro me gusta mucho aparte de la trama y los personajes, porque tiene acertijos para resolver

This was super clever and fun - a 400 page choose your own adventure mystery! With any of these kinds of stories, the plot is usually the weakest aspect, and while that was true, I did think that the length gave it more depth than normal for this type of story。 Also the tag along little brother was incredibly annoying (but even he made me laugh at least once; I know 8-10 year olds would get a kick out of him)。 I loved that there were tons of endings (mostly bad) and tons of opportunities to figu This was super clever and fun - a 400 page choose your own adventure mystery! This series is an interactive mystery easy and fast to read with lots of humor for young readers。 The main character is a kid who worries for his mom。 She may lose her business and house if they don't solve this case。 So when she gets sick。 He takes over with his best friend and her little brother。The plot is cartoonish and not too serious, thus the fun。 Sometimes to get to the next page you must solve a puzzle and some are challenging for very young readers。 It's a very entertaining series。 This series is an interactive mystery easy and fast to read with lots of humor for young readers。 The main character is a kid who worries for his mom。 She may lose her business and house if they don't solve this case。 So when she gets sick。 He takes over with his best friend and her little brother。The plot is cartoonish and not too serious, thus the fun。 Sometimes to get to the next page you must solve a puzzle and some are challenging for very young readers。 It's a very entertaining series。 。。。more

Absolutely LOVED this。 What happens when you combine a kids mystery with a choose-your-own-aventure book。 A FANTASTIC experience。 This was the first time I did this, but I actually drew out a map for how you could read every single page。 I missed a loose end, and that led to it taking a lot longer, but it was so fun to first find one really good ending and then see how the various ones went。 Kudos to Lauren Magaziner for pulling off something so interesting, fun and mysterious, with levels of fu Absolutely LOVED this。 What happens when you combine a kids mystery with a choose-your-own-aventure book。 A FANTASTIC experience。 This was the first time I did this, but I actually drew out a map for how you could read every single page。 I missed a loose end, and that led to it taking a lot longer, but it was so fun to first find one really good ending and then see how the various ones went。 Kudos to Lauren Magaziner for pulling off something so interesting, fun and mysterious, with levels of fun and puzzles。 Cannot wait to read the next 2, and I would love if there were more! A nice story with fun puzzles。 It is every childs dream to be a detective, and this is the perfect possibility to live out that dream。Read it as a goodnight-story for pre-school children, or "read-it-yourself" for younger readers。 A nice story with fun puzzles。 It is every childs dream to be a detective, and this is the perfect possibility to live out that dream。Read it as a goodnight-story for pre-school children, or "read-it-yourself" for younger readers。 。。。more

A fun read! I liked the idea of an interactive book where you pick your adventure kind of thing。 The mystery wasn't that interesting though, I wish there were more puzzles than picking a path。 I didn't pass by all the puzzles, so a different read would hit different places but not sure it would be enjoyable after solving the mystery once and knowing the culprit。Overall, nice middle-grade book。 A fun read! As a kid I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books, which is why I picked up MYSTERY IN THE MANSION: Cased Closed。 It was fun and a bit silly, but exactly what I needed this afternoon。 It's definitely a book I'd recommend for kids who love non-scary mysteries and who also enjoy figuring things out。 Some of the paths have fun puzzles while others are a bit more straightforward。 I love that you can read it multiple times and it's different depending on your choices。 As a kid I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books, which is why I picked up MYSTERY IN THE MANSION: Cased Closed。 It was fun and a bit silly, but exactly what I needed this afternoon。 It's definitely a book I'd recommend for kids who love non-scary mysteries and who also enjoy figuring things out。 Some of the paths have fun puzzles while others are a bit more straightforward。 I love that you can read it multiple times and it's different depending on your choices。 。。。more

Mystery In the Mansion is based on Three kids who go on a crazy adventure together to help an old lady to find the person who was sending her death threats and causing her harm and fear。 While the reader gets to make decisions to find the ending, they find more clues they add on more and more continuing throughout the story。 It is a very suspenseful book and has a mystery genre。 I would rate this book 5/5 stars。 I think it was well scripted and has many funny, scary, and strange endings that are Mystery In the Mansion is based on Three kids who go on a crazy adventure together to help an old lady to find the person who was sending her death threats and causing her harm and fear。 While the reader gets to make decisions to find the ending, they find more clues they add on more and more continuing throughout the story。 It is a very suspenseful book and has a mystery genre。 I would rate this book 5/5 stars。 I think it was well scripted and has many funny, scary, and strange endings that are possible to read。 。。。more

This was a fun choose your own adventure style mystery that worked well as a family read allowed。 The boys enjoyed solving riddles scattered throughout the book。 We managed to solve the mystery surprisingly quickly, but then we went back and tried out different paths to see what we missed (and to checked out the less than successful endings)。 I recommend this for kids who enjoy choose your own adventure style books and mysteries。

Mystery, adventure and being done in the middle of the book?! This great choose your own adventure mystery showcases 3 sleuths on their way to solving their first mystery。 It has logic puzzles in the book along with the mystery which leads you to the next page。 However solve the puzzle wrong or choose the wrong path your case could be done too quickly。

Fun choose your own ending book for middle grade。 But the kids in the story lie to adults a lot, and also break in to people’s houses, and steal, so it’s not great if you’re hoping for some morals and values, but if your child understands it’s just being silly, then I guess it’s okay。 It was mostly a lot of fluff and not anything deep or exciting, so my kids only sort of enjoyed it。
